DSM Engineering Materials expands in China

DSM Engineering Materials is constructing a new production line at its Jiangyin plant in Jiangsu Province, China. The line should be operational in 2023. DSM Engineering Materials produces high-performance polymers in China for the automotive, electrical, and electronics markets. Caroline Mitterlehner, vice president of specialties, calls China an important and fast-growing country for DSM Engineering Materials. “In recent years, rising living standards and increasingly ambitious environmental policies have fueled the demand for sustainable, high-quality materials in China. The new production line allows us to further expand our range of specialty materials for customers in China.”  
According to DSM Engineering Materials, the new production capacity will be CO2-neutral and will run entirely on renewable energy.
